PRIVACY POLICY Effective Date: August 19, 2026 Techwriter Software Inc. respects the privacy of visitors to its websites. This Privacy Policy describes Techwriter's current practices regarding personal information collected through its public websites. 1. Current Website Data Collection Techwriter does not currently intentionally collect personal information from visitors through this website. The website currently does not provide: user accounts; customer accounts; mailing-list registration; online purchases; payment processing; public user profiles; advertising profiles; or forms intended to collect personal information. If these capabilities are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly. 2. Technical and Server Information Like most websites, the infrastructure used to host and deliver this website may automatically process limited technical information necessary to receive and respond to internet requests. Depending on the hosting provider and technical configuration, this may include information such as: IP address; request date and time; requested page or resource; browser or device information; operating-system information; referring page; response status; bandwidth or traffic information; and information recorded in server or security logs. Such information may be processed by Techwriter's hosting, infrastructure, security, content-delivery, or network service providers as part of normal website operation. Techwriter does not use website server information to build behavioural advertising profiles of visitors. 3. Cookies and Tracking Techwriter does not intentionally use the public website to conduct behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking. The website or its hosting infrastructure may use technical storage, cookies, caching, security mechanisms, or similar technologies where necessary for ordinary website functionality. If Techwriter introduces analytics, advertising technology, user accounts, personalization, or other functionality involving additional tracking, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate. 4. Information You Voluntarily Provide Outside the Website You may independently communicate with Techwriter by email, telephone, through a business relationship, or through another communication platform. Information provided through those channels may be retained and used for the purpose for which it was provided, ordinary business administration, correspondence, support, contractual relationships, recordkeeping, security, or compliance with applicable law. Such information is not collected merely because you visited this website. 5. Customers and Licensed Software This Privacy Policy applies to the public website. Different privacy, confidentiality, security, or data-processing terms may apply to Techwriter software and services supplied to customers. Where a customer agreement, software licence, data-processing agreement, privacy notice, or other written agreement governs customer information, that document applies to the relevant relationship. 6. Personal Information in Professional Software Some Techwriter products may be designed for professional organizations, including legal-service organizations. The fact that a product is capable of processing information does not mean Techwriter necessarily receives or controls that information. The allocation of responsibilities between Techwriter and a customer regarding customer-controlled data will be governed by the applicable product architecture and written agreement. 7. Service Providers Techwriter may rely upon third-party infrastructure providers to operate its websites and business systems. Those providers may process technical or business information as necessary to provide their services. Techwriter seeks to use service providers appropriate for the nature of the services being provided. 8. Disclosure Required by Law Techwriter may preserve, use, or disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, court orders, governmental requirements, or to protect the security, rights, or property of Techwriter or others. 9. Information Security Techwriter uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of information under its control. No information system or method of electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, Techwriter does not guarantee absolute security. 10. Retention Where Techwriter possesses personal information, it will be retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, legitimate business and recordkeeping requirements, contractual obligations, security purposes, or applicable law. 11. Access and Correction Where applicable privacy law provides a right to request access to or correction of personal information held by Techwriter, requests may be submitted using Techwriter's published contact information. Techwriter may take reasonable steps to verify identity before responding to such requests. 12. Children's Information Techwriter does not intentionally collect personal information from children through the public website. Retro League and other Techwriter products may be enjoyed by users of different ages, but the public website is not presently designed to create accounts or collect personal information from children. 13. Changes to this Privacy Policy Techwriter may update this Privacy Policy when its website, products, business practices, service providers, or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will be published on the website. 14. Privacy Contact Questions or requests concerning privacy may be directed to: Techwriter Software Inc. Nova Scotia, Canada Using the contact information published on this website. GENERAL POLICIES, WARRANTIES & DISCLAIMERS Effective Date: August 19, 2026 This document contains general policies, warranties and disclaimers applicable to websites, public materials, demonstrations, documentation and other materials published by Techwriter Software Inc. Specific software and services may be governed by separate written agreements. Where this document conflicts with a written agreement applicable to a specific product, customer, licence, or service, the written agreement prevails. 1. General Information Only Information provided by Techwriter through its websites, documentation, demonstrations, presentations, videos, screenshots, examples and other public materials is provided for general informational purposes. Such information should not be interpreted as a contractual commitment except where Techwriter expressly agrees otherwise in writing. 2. No Legal or Professional Advice Techwriter Software Inc. develops technology. Techwriter is not providing legal advice through its software, websites, documentation, demonstrations or other materials. Likewise, Techwriter does not provide accounting, tax, financial, regulatory or other professional advice unless expressly contracted to provide a particular professional service. Software designed for legal professionals is intended to assist professional work rather than replace professional judgment. Users remain responsible for determining the appropriate use of software in their own professional environment. 3. Professional Responsibility and Independent Verification Users of professional software remain responsible for their own work and professional obligations. Without limiting the foregoing, users are responsible for independently reviewing and verifying matters such as: legal advice; documents; correspondence; calculations; client information; court information; filing requirements; court rules; limitation periods; deadlines; procedural requirements; trust and accounting obligations; confidentiality obligations; professional-conduct requirements; staff supervision; authorization to disclose information; and final work product. Software output should not be treated as a substitute for professional review where professional review would otherwise be appropriate. 4. Software Assistance Does Not Transfer Responsibility Automation may reduce repetitive work, organize information, identify potential issues, generate drafts, transform information, perform calculations, or assist a user in completing a process. Responsibility for the underlying professional decision remains with the applicable user or organization unless a written agreement expressly provides otherwise. 5. Accuracy Techwriter makes reasonable efforts to develop reliable software and provide accurate information. Software and information can nevertheless contain errors. Data may also become inaccurate because of: incorrect source data; user input; configuration; external system changes; software defects; third-party errors; changes in law or procedure; synchronization failures; network conditions; or circumstances outside Techwriter's control. Users should apply an appropriate level of verification having regard to the importance of the task being performed. 6. No Guarantee of Error-Free Operation Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, Techwriter does not warrant that any software, website, service, integration or other system will be completely error-free. The existence of a defect does not itself constitute a representation that a product is unsuitable for its intended purpose. Specific warranty obligations for licensed products, if any, are governed by the applicable licence or customer agreement. 7. “As Is” and “As Available” Except for warranties expressly given in a written agreement, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, publicly available websites, demonstrations, prototypes, sample materials, free software, test software and other materials are provided “as is” and “as available.” Techwriter disclaims warranties and conditions not expressly provided in writing, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, to the extent they may lawfully be excluded. This includes, where legally applicable, implied warranties or conditions concerning: merchantability; satisfactory quality; fitness for a particular purpose; accuracy; reliability; availability; interoperability; non-infringement; and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in this provision excludes a warranty, condition, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded. 8. Licensed Software The warranty applicable to licensed commercial software is the warranty, if any, contained in the applicable software licence, master services agreement, order form, statement of work or other written agreement. Website descriptions do not create additional warranties. 9. Beta, Preview and Experimental Features Techwriter may make features or products available as: beta; preview; experimental; prototype; prerelease; early access; test; demonstration; or similar developmental releases. Such functionality may be incomplete, unstable, inaccurate, changed substantially, or discontinued. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, developmental functionality should not be relied upon for critical production processes. 10. Product Development and Roadmaps Statements regarding planned, proposed, anticipated, possible, future, or upcoming products or functionality reflect intentions at the time they are made. They are not contractual commitments. Priorities, functionality, design, timing and release plans may change. A customer's purchasing decision should be based on functionality actually included in the applicable agreement rather than anticipated future functionality unless that agreement expressly states otherwise. 11. Screenshots, Videos and Demonstrations Screenshots, mockups, demonstrations, videos, illustrations and other visual examples may depict: developmental software; simulated information; fictional information; prototype interfaces; features that have changed; optional functionality; third-party integrations; or configurations that differ from generally available products. They are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise. 12. System Requirements and Compatibility Software compatibility depends on hardware, operating systems, browsers, third-party applications, network conditions, configuration and other factors. Techwriter may modify system requirements as products evolve. Except where guaranteed under a written agreement, Techwriter does not guarantee permanent compatibility with every version of a third-party system. 13. Third-Party Products and Integrations Techwriter products may interact with third-party platforms, applications, operating systems, cloud providers, APIs, databases, hardware or services. Examples may include practice-management platforms, productivity suites, operating systems, cloud infrastructure, web browsers, identity providers and other business technology. Techwriter does not control third-party products. An integration may be affected by changes made by the third party, including: API changes; service interruptions; authentication changes; licensing changes; functionality changes; security policies; usage limits; pricing changes; product discontinuation; or other technical changes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, reference to a third-party product does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation or partnership. 14. External Authorities and Information Sources Software may use or assist users in working with information obtained from courts, governments, regulators, professional bodies, public databases, commercial databases or other external sources. Techwriter does not control those sources and cannot guarantee their continued availability, completeness or accuracy. Users remain responsible for consulting authoritative sources when required. 15. Data Entered by Customers Customers and users are responsible for determining what information they are lawfully and professionally permitted to enter into software. This includes determining whether appropriate authority exists to process: client information; confidential information; privileged information; employee information; personal information; court information; financial information; and other restricted or sensitive information. The applicable commercial agreement may allocate additional responsibilities between Techwriter and its customer. 16. Confidentiality and Privilege The use of software in a legal or professional environment does not by itself establish that information is legally privileged or confidential. Whether privilege, confidentiality, professional secrecy, or another protection applies is determined by applicable law and the circumstances in which the information is handled. Customers remain responsible for determining whether their use of a particular product is appropriate for information subject to those obligations. 17. Security Techwriter recognizes that security is important to professional software users. Reasonable security measures reduce risk but cannot eliminate every risk associated with computing systems. No software vendor, network, operating system, cloud service, storage system, authentication system or internet-connected service can guarantee that a security incident will never occur. Statements concerning security describe measures, architecture, practices or capabilities and do not constitute an absolute guarantee against unauthorized access, compromise, loss, interruption or other security events unless expressly stated in a written agreement. 18. Availability and Business Continuity Technology services may occasionally become unavailable because of maintenance, defects, internet conditions, third-party outages, hardware failure, security events, force majeure or other circumstances. Any contractual availability or service-level commitment applicable to a commercial customer will be stated in the relevant agreement. In the absence of such a commitment, no particular level of continuous availability is guaranteed. 19. Backups and Records Customers should maintain records and backups appropriate to their professional and operational requirements unless Techwriter has expressly accepted responsibility for a particular backup or retention function in writing. The presence of synchronization, storage, backup, versioning, recovery, audit-log or similar functionality does not relieve a customer of obligations imposed by law, professional standards or its own business-continuity requirements. 20. Deadlines and Time-Sensitive Information No software should be treated as the sole authoritative system for determining a legal, court, statutory, contractual or professional deadline unless the applicable agreement expressly provides otherwise. Users remain responsible for verifying consequential deadlines against appropriate source materials and exercising professional judgment. 21. Generated and Automated Content Where software generates, transforms, summarizes, classifies, extracts, recommends, predicts or otherwise processes content automatically, the resulting output may require human review. Generated output may be incomplete or incorrect. The presence of automated functionality does not represent a warranty that every output is accurate or suitable for a particular professional purpose. 22. Artificial Intelligence Features Where a Techwriter product expressly includes artificial-intelligence or machine-learning functionality, additional terms may apply. Unless expressly guaranteed otherwise in a written agreement: AI-generated output may contain errors; output should be reviewed before consequential use; output does not constitute professional advice; generated material may require correction or editing; and users remain responsible for determining whether the output is appropriate for their intended purpose. The data-handling architecture and applicable privacy terms for any AI-enabled commercial product will be described separately where appropriate. 23. Limitations of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and except where a separate written agreement provides otherwise, Techwriter Software Inc. will not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, punitive or consequential losses arising out of public website content, demonstrations, free materials, or use of information presented on the website. This includes loss of: profit; revenue; business opportunity; goodwill; productivity; information; anticipated savings; or use. Any liability limitations applicable to paid or licensed software will be stated in the applicable commercial agreement. Nothing in this section limits liability that applicable law does not permit Techwriter to exclude or limit. 24. No Indemnity Created by Website Content No statement on this website creates an obligation on Techwriter to defend, indemnify or hold harmless any person or organization. Any indemnification obligation must be expressly stated in a written agreement. 25. Feedback and Suggestions Techwriter welcomes voluntary feedback concerning its products. Unless otherwise agreed before feedback is provided, a person submitting suggestions, ideas, feature requests, comments, improvements, concepts or other feedback grants Techwriter permission to use, evaluate, develop, modify, commercialize or decline that feedback without compensation or obligation. This does not transfer ownership to Techwriter of confidential materials or intellectual property independently owned by the person providing the feedback. 26. User Decisions Product demonstrations, examples, documentation, suggestions, defaults, templates and workflow designs do not constitute instructions that a customer must follow. Organizations remain responsible for establishing their own operational policies and determining whether a particular workflow is appropriate. 27. Changes to Products Unless restricted by contract, Techwriter may change product: appearance; interfaces; workflows; functionality; technical architecture; dependencies; system requirements; documentation; feature names; or availability. Software development necessarily involves revision. 28. Support The availability, scope, method and response expectations for technical support depend upon the applicable product and commercial agreement. The existence of a general contact method does not itself create a guaranteed response time or service-level commitment. 29. No Third-Party Beneficiaries Unless expressly provided in a written agreement, website policies do not create rights in favour of third parties. 30. Governing Agreements For clarity, the order of precedence is generally: a specifically negotiated and executed written agreement; an applicable product licence, order form, statement of work, or product-specific terms; applicable mandatory law; and these general website policies. Nothing in these website policies overrides rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be modified by agreement. SOFTWARE LICENSING Effective Date: August 19, 2026 Techwriter Software Inc. develops and licenses proprietary software. Commercial Software Commercial Techwriter products may be supplied under product-specific licensing arrangements. Depending upon the product and customer, licensing documentation may include: a Software Licence Agreement; End User Licence Agreement; Master Services Agreement; subscription terms; an Order Form; a Statement of Work; support terms; security documentation; a Data Processing Agreement; or other product-specific terms. No Licence Granted by Website Accessing this website does not grant a licence to Techwriter software, source code, intellectual property or proprietary technology. A software licence exists only where expressly granted. Evaluation and Demonstration Software Evaluation, demonstration, prototype, preview, beta or trial software may be subject to separate restrictions and may not include the same functionality, warranties, support commitments or service levels as commercial production software. Customer Agreements Commercial licensing arrangements may address matters including: licensed users; authorized organizations; deployment; subscription term; renewal; payment; software updates; support; confidentiality; information security; data ownership; data processing; intellectual property; warranty; limitation of liability; indemnification; termination; and governing law. The applicable executed agreement determines the rights and obligations of Techwriter and the customer. Ownership Unless a written agreement expressly provides otherwise, Techwriter retains ownership of its software and underlying intellectual property. Licensing software permits its use within the scope of the licence; it does not transfer ownership. Custom Development Where Techwriter performs custom development or implementation work, ownership and licensing of deliverables will be determined by the applicable written agreement. No assumption concerning ownership of custom-developed materials should be inferred solely from payment for services. Open-Source and Third-Party Components Techwriter software may incorporate or interact with software supplied under open-source, commercial or other third-party licences. Those components remain subject to their applicable licence terms. Where attribution or distribution of applicable notices is required, Techwriter will provide appropriate third-party notices with the relevant product. THIRD-PARTY NOTICES Techwriter Software Inc. products may incorporate, interact with, or depend upon software, libraries, frameworks, APIs, services, fonts, media, data or other materials provided by third parties. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their applicable licences and terms. References to third-party trademarks, products or services are for identification, compatibility, interoperability, attribution or informational purposes unless otherwise stated. Such references do not imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement. Where a product includes open-source software or other components requiring attribution, applicable licence text and notices will be provided with the product or in accompanying documentation. Product-specific third-party notices may be added to this page as Techwriter products are released. SECURITY & RESPONSIBLE DISCLOSURE Techwriter Software Inc. takes the security of its software and technology seriously. Reporting a Security Issue If you believe you have discovered a security vulnerability affecting a Techwriter website, application or software product, please report it privately using Techwriter's published contact information. Please include sufficient information to understand and reproduce the issue where reasonably possible. Responsible Research Techwriter supports good-faith security research intended to identify and responsibly disclose genuine security weaknesses. Researchers should avoid: accessing information belonging to other people; altering or destroying information; disrupting production systems; degrading availability; introducing malicious code; using a vulnerability for personal or commercial advantage; or publicly disclosing a vulnerability before Techwriter has had a reasonable opportunity to investigate it. No Bug-Bounty Commitment Unless Techwriter expressly announces a bug-bounty program, submitting a vulnerability report does not create an entitlement to payment, compensation, employment, recognition or other reward. Techwriter may nevertheless acknowledge useful reports at its discretion. No Guarantee Responsible-disclosure policies do not constitute a warranty that Techwriter systems contain no security vulnerabilities. Security is an ongoing process and technical risks evolve over time. ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT Techwriter Software Inc. believes software and websites should be usable by as many people as reasonably possible. Techwriter seeks to consider accessibility when designing, developing and maintaining its websites and products. Accessibility capabilities may vary between products, platforms, versions and developmental stages. Techwriter welcomes information about accessibility problems encountered in its websites or software. When reporting an accessibility issue, users are encouraged to identify: the affected page or product; the nature of the problem; the browser, operating system or assistive technology involved, where relevant; and any other information that may help reproduce the issue. Feedback may be submitted through Techwriter's published contact information. This statement describes Techwriter's general accessibility objectives and does not constitute a contractual representation that every website, feature or product conforms to any particular accessibility standard unless such conformity is expressly stated.
